There is a lot of hype, BS and misinformation about Dermatend. Because of this I have decided to try and make some sense of it all and present my own “independent” Dermatend Review. If you have unwanted moles and skin tags anywhere, then this a problem you want fixed. You may have already tried another mole removal cream without success, or you may have read other Dermatend reviews and still be a little uncertain. Hopefully after reading this you will have a better understanding of what Dermatend is and be capable of making an informed decision about whether it is right for you.
I have analyzed hundreds of Dermatend Reviews, around 400 to be more precise. Most came from Amazon where the purchase had been verified. This way at least there was more certainty that the reviews were genuine and not from a company stooge or a competitor undermining. I will list the major pros and cons in an unbiased way.
This is not meant to be a scientific study just my observations on what has worked, what has not worked and why. If you are considering buying the product you will also find some useful tips and things to watch out for in order to get the best results. So if you are looking for an answer to the question “Does Dermatend Work?” please read on.
What Is Dermatend?
It’s a natural mole removal cream or paste, which the manufacturer claims will also remove skin tags and warts. The ingredients in Dermatend are all natural, no one seems to dispute this, so lets accept it as fact. The ingredients are Bloodroot (its an awful name I know) or its botanical name Sanguinaria Canadensis, vegetable glycerin, distilled water and butter of zinc (which has disinfectant properties).
The active ingredient and key player here is bloodroot, which is a perennial shrub native to the eastern parts of the United States. The extract from this plant is alkaloid, or mildly acidic. This plant has powerful medicinal properties and its affect on non-cancerous (ordinary moles) is well documented. Put simply Dermatend is designed to target the skin cells of a mole or skin tag breaking them down to a point where they simply fall off.
But Will It Work For Me?
Dermatend definitely seems to work for lots of people, around 59% of Dermatend Reviews studied were very positive with customers giving the highest rating 0f 5 stars. Here is an example of one happy customer.
“Was afraid to try this product after reading some reviews but I really disliked a raised mole on my cheek so I gave it a try. I had no problem getting it to a paste consistency and I scratched the area as directed, within 24 hours it formed a scab as described and a few days later it fell off and my mole is gone. It is painful, the scab was gross and I did get the discolored ring around the area others described but after a week I only have a barely noticeable scar and the raised mole is gone. I was careful not to affect the surrounding skin and used Vaseline as a barrier. I also used small round band-aids to hide the offensive scab and plenty of Neosporin. Plan to use it on another face mole now that it worked for me.” – AC Simple (Florida) from Amazon
Next came those who were fairly happy and gave a 4 star review. This number amounted to 20% of the overall total. Here is one 4 star review.
“I had a mole on my face that really has bothered me for a while. I didn’t want to go to the doctor because of the cost, so I decided to try Dermatend. The package arrived on time. I followed the directions very closely. Make sure you do this or the product will not work. I ended up having to apply the product more than once on the mole, but it did remove the mole. There is a little discomfort at first, but really not that bad at all. It took about 1 week for the mole to “fall off”. I was very pleased with the results! I definitely recommend this product.”- Jon Richards (Alabama) from Amazon.
3 and 2 star reviews amounted to 10%. Of these, people generally claimed the product removed some but not all of their moles or skin tags while for others there was no result but they received their money back.
Lets now jump straight to those that gave Dermatend a thumbs down. This group was 11% of the total and all claimed the product did not work. Below is one customer’s feedback.
“I used this to try to remove 2 small moles and it did not work. On one mole, it took off a portion and on the other mole it didn’t work at all. I even filed and scraped the second mole until it bled but this product still didn’t do the job it claimed. I returned it for a refund. At least I have that option.” –Coljam21 (Brooklyn) from Amazon.
My Conclusions About Dermatend
Obviously this product has worked well for many people, well over half were completely satisfied. While only 11% claimed the product did not work. The rest had good result or partial success with some reservations like it was hard to apply or it took longer than expected to work.
“Why does it work for some and not for others?”
You need to be sure you know what you are dealing with before using Dermatend. For instance the skin condition known as Actinic keratosis sometimes displays similar “mole like” circular patches of dry dark skin. As does the skin blemish more commonly known as “liver spots”. Although they may sometimes look like a skin mole they are different, and cannot be removed with Dermatend.
Dermatend seems to work much better on moles that are no bigger than 1 centimeter in size. It seems to work equally well on the different types of skin moles. For removal of skin tags dermatend has proved very successful with the majorty of reviews being extremely positive, although some evidence suggests the older and bigger they are the less likehood of success.
It would seem the type of skin you have might also play apart in Dermatend’s effectiveness. There were more complaints from people with oily skin and if you have really sensitive skin, the healing process may take longer and you are likely to experience more discomfort.
As with skin tags Dematend has proved very effective at removing warts, not one negative review could be found.
The Pros And Cons In A Nutshell
-May not work on moles bigger than 1 centimeter
-If the mole or skin tag is in a hard to reach place, application may be difficult
-May not work on large or older well established skin tags
-The removal process can take some time, from 1-4 weeks. Although many claim good success in a week or two. For some results were achieved in days.
-There is a small risk of infection. However the same can be said for any surgical procedure and the use of an antisceptic cream will greatly minimize this
-Generally safe to use, unless your skin is ultra sensitive!
-Money back guarantee is honored
-Much cheaper than surgical or laser removal methods
-Other than a slight burning sensation when first applied Dermatend is relatively painless. Unlike some medical procedures.
-When used correctly the risk of scarring is minimal.
Other Things To Consider
Some people have complained about the amount of product received. Please note Dermatend Original is a small tube, about the size of your little finger and contains 5g. Under the right conditions however this should be enough to remove up to 4 moles or skin tags. For best results you must use the product as directed. It would seem that for some, the product may not have worked because the instructions were not followed correctly. For precise instructions on how to use DermaTend click here Make sure to keep your receipt, the 60 day money back guarantee may not be honored unless you have proof of purchase. One little know fact uncovered whilst conducting this research is that the product has less than a 2% return rate. Customer satisfaction speaks for itself..
By now you should have enough information to make your own decision about DremaTend. Overall the product has worked as claimed for many individuals who now feel better as a result. Of course it has not worked for everyone, but if you are careful and follow the directions you have a very good chance of success. DermaTend is no fly by night company; they have shown they care about the product and about their customers. Dermatend has stood the test of time, with this product helping people remove moles, warts and skin tags since 2007. Just think, if Dermatend did not work would it still be around after 6 years? In fact the company now claims over one million moles have been removed since the product first became available.
If you’re considering DermaTend we recommend you buy from the official company website. It’s safe, secure and you know your getting the genuine article. Plus shipping is a little cheaper than other online retailers.
